Here’s your weekly gathering of links to love from around the web. Enjoy, and Merry Christmas week!
- This week I hope you’ll have lots of time to sit at night and enjoy the restful twinkle from the lights on your Christmas tree. How, though, did we end up with a live or artificial tree towering over our living room or family room as a way to celebrate Christmas? The story is fascinating, and this one comes complete with video from History.com. The perfect article for Christmas week as you place gifts under your tree.
- Do you love vintage? Do you enjoy shopping at flea markets, antique stores, and such, looking for treasure among all the knick-knacks? If so, I just stumbled upon your new favorite website! It’s called EBTH (Everything But the House). Think of it as eBay for vintage and mid-century, although the two sites are not affiliated with one another. Each item starts at just $1, and each auction lasts for seven days. The finds are amazing, and the site is already a favorite of celebrities and top designers who are buying up top-drawer finds for garage-sale prices.
- Do you have a passive-aggressive in-law or another family member who’s making the thought of being together at Christmas feel like it’s not going to be the most wonderful time of the year? If so, here’s help from Real Simple magazine on what to say and do to make your holiday more merry and bright!
